This will define the address the list is at. So for joe@domain.com, you would use just joe in this field.
List owner email address:
Full address of the owner. So if its me@domain.com, then you enter me@domain.com, not just me.
All values shown below are the 'default' values.
#1
Message moderation.
Message posting is not moderated.
A moderated lists simply requires all messages sent to it to be 'approved' by a moderator. Moderators can be defined once the list is set up. See advanced topics for more information on how a moderated list works.
#2
Archived
Not archived
If list is archived, messages sent to the list will be stored and available to users and administrators depending on the settings of (#3) and (#6). See user commands for information on how to retrieve messages.
#3
Block archive. Only moderators are allowed to access the archive.
Archive access is open to anyone or subscribers only, depending on the Guard setting.
If block archive is selected only the list moderators and remote administrators will have access to it. If access is open, everyone or just subscribes will have access, depending on (#6). Only relevant if (#2) is turned on.
#4
Digest
No digest. Do not set up the digest list.
Digests distribute the list in one 'large' email rather than individual emails. The digest is published when it reaches one of these requirements:
30 messages are recieved since the last digest
48 hours passes since the last digest
48K of message body has accumulated since the last digest
Prefix. Set up the list so that the outgoing subject will be prefixed with the list name.
No prefix.
Does exactly what it says. Prefixes the name of the list to any message sent to the list. So, if the list is maillist@domain.com, it will add [maillist] at the begining each subject. It won't be added to messages that already have it, so you wont get replies with multiple prefixes.
#6
Guard archive. Archive access requests from unrecognized SENDERs will be rejected.
Do not guard archive. Archive access request from any SENDERs will be serviced.
If archive is guarded, only subscribers can access the archive, otherwise anyone can access it.(#2) must be set for this to be relevant. If (#3) is on, this option is ignored.
#7
Subscriptions do not require confirmation.
Subscription requires confirmation by reply to a message sent to the subscription address.
If set to require confirmation, the 'subscriber' will receive a message at the subscribing address, that must be replied to, in order to be added to the list.
#8
Indexed for WWW archive access.
Do not setup list for WWW archive access.
This option is not implemented. Either selection will not have an effect on the list.
#9
Unsubscribe does not require confirmation.
Unsubscribe requires confirmation by a reply to a message sent to the subscription address.
Same as subscribe Subscribe. If set to require confirmation, the 'subscriber' will receive a message at the subscribing address, that must be replied to, in order to be removed to the list.
#10
List subscribers. Remote administrators can request a subscriber list, and search the subscriber log.
The subscriber list cannot be obtained.
If allowed, the list owner can obtain or search the subscriber log. This option is not necessary because you can access the list via the email control panel once the list is setup. However, if you have, or will, need to search the subscriber logs, you can turn this on. See advanced topics support for information on how to use this feature.
#11
Allow remote administrators to edit files in text directory
Text file editing is not allowed
This allows owners to customize the messages the list sends out by default. If you don't know what you are doing, it is advised you leave this off. If turned on, see advanced topics support for information on how to use this feature.
#12
Posts from addresses other than moderators are rejected. This is applicable to message moderated lists only.
Others not rejected. For moderated lists, all posts are forwarded to the moderators. The switch has effects only on message moderated lists.
Decides what is to be done with messages that don't come from a moderators address. If rejected is selected, the messages will bounce, if not, they will be forwarded to the moderator(s). Note: This applies only if (#1) is on.
#13
Respond to administrative requests and allow archive retrieval.
Allow only digest creation, remote administration, and archive retrieval by remote administrators, (if the list is configured with this options).
If turned off, only the remote admin and moderators will be allowed to do things like -get, -index, and -thread. If on, all allowed users will be able to do these things. For more information on -get, -index, and -thread , see User Commands
#14
ReQuest address is serviced
Do not process messages sent to the request address
If you know what this feature is and need it on, see Advanced topics for more help
#15
Enables remote administration
No remote administration.
Allows the administrator to add/remove subscribers remotely, and without their knowledge or consent. See advanced topics support for information on how to use this feature.
#16
Subscription moderation.
Subscriptions are not moderated.
If turned on, the list owner must approve subscriptions. If left off, all users who complete the subscription process are allowed. See advanced information for a complete description of the process.
#17
Trailer
No trailer
Allows you to attach a 'trailer' to all messages. Default trailer includes the unsubscribe address and an the 'help' address, as shown in user commands. The message itself can be changed by turning (#11) on and following the advanced instructions for it.
#18
User posts only
Do not restrict posts based on SENDER address
If turned on, only subscribers are allowed to send to the list, if left off, anyone is allowed to submit. Turning this on can help avoid spam on the list. User aliases, and user denial are also available as advanced features.
#19
Enable ezmlmrc processing
Disable ezmlmrc processing
